Subaasiri LLC ("Subaasiri," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Subaasiri matrimonial matchmaking platform, including the website and mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information. In this policy, "personal information" means any information that can directly or indirectly identify you. By using Subaasiri, you acknowledge and agree to the handling of your personal information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. If you are accessing our services from Sri Lanka or any other country, your personal information may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate. We collect the following categories of information: Account Information: Email address used for authentication. Profile Information: Display name, first name, gender, religion, community/caste (provided voluntarily — used for matching preferences and visible to other members based on your privacy settings), education level, country of residence, height, and any other details you voluntarily provide. Astrological Data: During onboarding, you provide your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. These details are used solely to generate your birth chart (horoscope) and are not stored by Subaasiri after chart generation. We store only the generated birth chart, including porondam compatibility scores, dosha analysis, and planetary positions. Photos: Profile photos you upload, which are shared only with your consent. Communication Data: Connection requests you send and receive, messages, reports, blocks, consultation conversations with astrologers, and customer support communications. Usage Data: How you interact with the platform, including matches viewed, requests sent, features used, and session duration. Technical Information: IP address, device type, browser, operating system, login timestamps, error reports, and security logs. Payment Information: Subscription and payment details are processed by Stripe. Subaasiri does not directly store your full payment card number. However, we may receive payment status, subscription details, transaction IDs, and limited payment information provided by Stripe. Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for providing a better user experience.

We use your information to: (a) Provide and operate the Subaasiri platform, including generating compatibility scores and match recommendations. (b) Create and manage your account. (c) Process subscriptions and payments. (d) Facilitate consent-based sharing of photos and horoscopes between users. (e) Enable astrologer consultations. (f) Send you service-related notifications (e.g., new connection requests, match updates). (g) Improve and optimize the platform based on usage patterns. (h) Enforce our Terms of Service and protect user safety. (i) Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support. (j) Comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

We share your information only in the following circumstances: With Other Users: Selected profile information (such as display name, age, religion, community, education, country, and compatibility score) may be visible to other eligible members based on your profile settings and the matching features of the service. Photos and detailed horoscope charts are shared only when you explicitly approve a request. With Astrologers: If you request a consultation, relevant birth chart information is shared with the astrologer to perform the consultation. With Service Providers: We use selected technical and professional service providers to operate Subaasiri. They may receive information only to the extent necessary to provide their service: - Supabase: Database hosting and user authentication. - Stripe: Payment processing. - Vercel: Website and application hosting. - Resend: Transactional email delivery (sign-in codes, notifications). These providers process data on our behalf under strict data protection agreements. For Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or if necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Subaasiri, our users, or the public. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any parties for marketing purposes.

Subaasiri operates on a consent-based model for sharing sensitive information: Photos: Your profile photos are not publicly visible. Other users must send a photo request, and you must explicitly approve it before they can view your photos. When you approve a photo request, your photo becomes visible to that member. Depending on the platform's features, the requesting member's photo may also become visible to you. Horoscope Charts: Detailed birth chart and horoscope information is shared only when you approve a horoscope request from another user. You can revoke access at any time. However, we cannot control what a user does with information they have already viewed (e.g., taking screenshots). You can manage your sharing preferences and review pending requests in the Inbox section of the app.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including: (a) Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS). (b) Secure database hosting with row-level security policies. (c) Passwordless authentication to prevent credential theft. (d) Regular security reviews of our codebase and infrastructure. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify the relevant authorities and affected individuals as required by applicable law, including Massachusetts data breach notification requirements.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. We do not currently use behavioral advertising cookies. If non-essential cookies or analytics tools are introduced in the future, we will provide notice or a consent mechanism as required by applicable law.

Subaasiri is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take reasonable steps to deactivate the relevant account and delete that information. Subaasiri is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
